Quality
Our solid scrubs are made from the highest quality 100% Cotton Prints and Poly/Cotton Solid fabrics and workmanship. Our customers often "complain" that our Poly/Cotton scrubs will never wear out! That makes Scrub Med an excellent choice for dental scrub uniforms, medical scrub uniforms, nursing scrub uniforms, vet scrub uniforms and all other health care uniforms.
Please be sure of fit before washing, wearing or altering. Items that have been washed, worn or altered cannot be returned for refund or exchange. If you have any questions, please contact a Scrub Med Representative at 1.800.942.8833. Care in laundering is the most important factor in prolonging the life of your scrubs.
Washing Instructions
Always follow the care instructions on the garment label. The following washing guidelines may also be helpful:
- Separate colors and wash similar colors together.
- Choose your water temperature carefully. Colors are less likely to run or fade in cold water. Whites and light colors can be washed in warmer temperatures.
- Tumble dry at lower temperatures. High temperature drying wears down fabric fibers and may cause excessive shrinkage.
- Cold water washing and low heat drying save energy.
- Do not dry clean unless indicated on garment label.
- To reduce wrinkles, remove clothes from the dryer while they are still warm and smooth them out.
- Natural fibers (100% Cotton) may shrink when washed. Please read the garment hang tag to determine how much shrinkage to expect.
- Remember that the greatest shrinkage usually occurs lengthwise. If you will be hemming your pants, please wash them a few times before hemming to allow for shrinkage in length.
About Our Fabrics
- Poly/Cotton: Our original 7 oz. 65/35 poly/cotton poplin. Extremely durable and colorfast and softens with each washing. The first choice of those who require an easy care, high quality scrub. Expect a 1-2% residual shrinkage
- ScrubLites: Our lightweight poly/cotton ScrubLites are approximately half the weight of our original poly/cotton. Ideal for the person who prefers a lighter, cooler scrub. Great for those who work in warmer climates or must wear lab jackets or gowns.
- 100% Cotton Prints: Express your individuality with our distinctive prints or coordinate them with our solids for a unique look. When indicated on the hang tag, expect a 5% shrinkage (approximately one size). Don't worry, we've made the adjustment so there's no need to order a larger size. Follow care instructions to prolong garment life.
- 100% Nylon: Follow instructions on garment care tag. The nylon used for our dental gowns is treated with a waterproofing material, which does wash out with repeated laundering. Waterproofing can be reapplied using a "waterproofing spray". Please test for colorfastness before use.
